Johanna is a Registered Corporate Coach™ through the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches™ (WABC™). Johanna has spent the last 20 years in a corporate setting sharing her gifts and talents.  She has been coaching individuals for 19 years.  She loves helping others stretch beyond their predetermined limits all while inviting more joy in their lives.  She is a featured blogger on a Fortune 500 company internal social networking website.  She has also co-chaired and sat on various councils that acted as a two-way feedback channel between the service organization and managers.

Johanna understands the stresses of working in the finance industry; therefore, she has helped to bring mindfulness and meditation into the forefront of the corporate world as Head of Operations of Mindfulness for two years for a Fortune 500 company. She is also certified as a Mindful Workplace Facilitator from the Institute for Organizational Mindfulness (IOM). She still leads and facilitates group meditations.  She has experienced the profound effects meditation has had in her own life and is eager to share the practice with as many people as possible.  She knows how powerful meditation can be, and she wants others to sleep more soundly, live with less stress or anxiety, and enjoy a deep quality of living that only meditating can provide.  She helps individuals begin their journey to developing a meditation practice.  She guides and supports them in their meditation practice to help them maintain and deepen it.

Johanna is also a Meditation Program Consultant. In today’s fast-moving society, our minds and bodies often have difficulty slowing down and being present. Mindfulness meditation programs provide benefits to every person, regardless of position or title. Studies have shown numerous health and wellness benefits. Harvard Business Review states “Mindfulness should no longer be considered a 'nice-to-have' for executives.. It's a 'must-have': a way to keep our brains healthy, to support self-regulation and effective decision-making capabilities, and to protect ourselves from toxic stress."  Johanna can consult with you on how to set up a mindfulness meditation program for your employees. She works with both corporate sector clients as well as small businesses. Her program can help reduce stress, manage the pressures of productivity, and create a balance between life at work and home. Johanna designs and develops a program dictated by the needs of your organization using her many years of experience and training in both the mindfulness and corporate sector. This program will support you as you support your employees’ self-care in order to rejuvenate and re-energize them so that they can be their best and their happiest at work.

She is also an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) practitioner and is currently studying under Gary Craig the founder of EFT.

Johanna was also very involved in her community the past 10 + years through her animal welfare work as a co-founder and past two term board president of one of the top no-kill animal shelters in her area called Faithful Friends. She also co-founded, chaired and participated on numerous state wide animal welfare committees as well as an animal-agency coalition.  Johanna and Grace are currently volunteering with a local cat group.

Johanna grew up in a challenging household that programmed her with false beliefs that continued into her adulthood.  But even as child she had a knowing inside her that life didn’t have to be so hard.  Over the years she gained the awareness that joy and peace are our birthright and that well-being is our natural state of being.  She realized that many people before her have figured things out so there is no reason to struggle in life.  We just have to be open to the information and trust our internal guidance system.  She loves learning from others then in turn sharing this information to help others.  Similar to the old saying, "Learn from other's mistakes," it's important to learn from individual experiences, but it's much easier and more effective to learn from the experiences, mistakes and successes of others since emotions can overpower intelligence and rational thought from one’s own experiences. That’s why she believes in utilizing higher thinking individuals, therapists, mentors and coaches in both her career and personal life. These teachers and friends support and guide her; they also open doors and widen her awareness.  There’s an expression, “when the student is ready the teacher will come”.  Johanna says that every experience has shown her that not a moment sooner would she have been ready for the information she is about to share with you.  But the best part is that she never needed to reinvent the wheel.  She has and continues to learn from others.  Johanna is very grateful for all of life’s experiences.  She says in every experience whether positive or negative comes wisdom if you allow it.  Johanna is eager to share with you things that she has learned along the way so that we can all enjoy this wonderful journey called life.  Join her on this path of exploration and expansion.

Working with Johanna over the past year and a half has made a significant difference in my life. When I was going through a difficult time, I joined an informal circle Johanna was leading a couple times a month focused on setting positive intentions and releasing anything that is holding you back. These sessions have built momentum in my life, caused me to create and achieve more goals and seek out more positive messages. Every time I talk to her, I get a nugget of information that gives me a new theme to explore in my life. I am grateful to have Johanna as a mentor and a friend!
